Brewers shut out the Cubs,Weeks gets injured

The Milwaukee Brewers shut out the Chicago Cubs 2-0. Good pitching by Zack Greinke and the bullpen does its job. Zack Greinke pitched 6 2/3 shut out innings. Takashi Sato came in the 7th inning with Blake DeWitt on 1st and got Darwin Barney to ground out to second to end the inning. Francisco Rodriguez pitched a scoreless 8th, then John Axford pitched a scoreless 9th to get his 29th save of the season. He set a Brewers franchise by recording his 26 consecutive save of the year.

Brewers got on the board in the 2nd inning by Prince Fielder's 23 home run of the season, it made it 1-0 Milwaukee. Then later in the inning, Weeks got on with an infield hit, he got injured on the play. Rickie Weeks hurt his ankle when he stretched his leg to the first base bag. Craig Counsell replaced Weeks,Casey McGehee doubled to left, Craig Counsell moved to third. Yuniesky Betancourt then hit a sac fly to right, scored Craig Counsell. It made it a 2-0 Brewers. That would be all the scoring in the game.

Brewers finally beat Carlos Zambrano in Milwaukee. Carlos Zambrano was 7-0 at Miller Park, including his no hit game against the Houston Astros in 2008.

Zack Greinke goes 8-4, Carlos Zambrano goes 7-6, the St. Louis Cardinals lost to the Houston Astros 4-2 tonight. Milwaukee Brewers are now in 1st place, oh the Pittsburgh Pirates lost in extra innings to the Atlanta Braves 2-1.
The Milwaukee Brewers will try to sweep the Chicago Cubs tomorrow afternoon, Shawn Marcum will be the starting pitcher for the Brewers.
We will find out how bad Rickie Weeks injury tomorrow. I hope its not that bad,his ankle bones are not broken so that's good news.
